This is the kind of stuff that moves people like me towards the automatic ball and strike caller with an ump behind the plate.

I’m still not convinced that a ‘robo-ump’ will get the calls right 100% of the time. Baseball will need to work on making sure that a quick double check of the ‘robo-ump’ keeps the game running smoothly and without delay.
