Watch It Again! Joe (John G. Avildsen, 1970) – Bright Lights Film Journal

I watched this movie twenty years ago. It’s amazing how much more I get out of it today.

I read somewhere that the film jump started the careers of two relatively unknown actors at the time, Peter Boyle and Susan Sarandon.

By the way, it’s free to watch on Amazon Prime. It’s a great movie and a nice historical talking piece about politics and culture of the late ’60s, early ’70s, and of you can believe it, today. Just watch the film and let me know what you think of it.
